The fifty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 4 to 15 March 2013. I will be volunteering at the New York venue, but wanted to let others know about the following: In preparation for the fifty-seventh session, UN Women, in collaboration with the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and World Health Organization (WHO), will convene an Expert Group Meeting on prevention of violence against women and girls, on 17 to 20 September 2012, in Bangkok, Thailand. http://www.unwomen.org/events/59/expert-group-meeting-prevention-of-viol... I have been reading IBC posts written by people working in school systems, perhaps this is of interest to them. |
