Abhidharma Theravada

Wonder if any has experience on Buddhist pscychology.
I started the the comprehensive Manual of Abhidhamma of Bhikkhu Bodhi and the book is remarkable but seems to lack a functional or practical viewpoint.
Wonder if any has experience in the field and can recommend books or web pages on the topic.
Kind regards
Mapletree

Hi, There two books written

Hi,

There two books written by Nina van Gorkom and can be downloaded from
www.zolag.co.uk

These are:

van Gorkom, N. (2011). Introduction to the Abhidhamma. London: Zolag.

van Gorkom, N. (2010). The Conditionality of Life: An Outline of the Twenty-Four Conditions as taught in the Abhidhamma. London: Zolag.

The explanation seems a bit easier to understand.

Regards, Mahendra

IBC

I read somewhere on the IBC website how they offer(ed) a course in Buddhist psychology.
It possibly was one of those special courses offered from time to time.
You might want to ask the management.
No, I know no venue offering courses in Buddhist psychology; only one venue offering accredited courss in Indian/Vedic psychology.

IBC

Yes, Buddhist Psychotherapy will be one of the topics delivered in the third year so every Master Degree student will be taking this subject.
