VIDEO SERIES on LAM RIM CHEN MO

Buddhist center SRAVASTI ABBEY presents a video series of teachings on Tibetan LAM RIM CHEN MO by Buddhist monastics in the Tibetan tradition who are native speakers of English.

LAM RIM teaching by Geshe Kelsang Wangmo, first female geshe.

For what is worth.

Realizing the Lamrim

There is an online learning center for Mahayana @ http://onlinelearning.fpmt.org/
Registration is free and there are a number of courses available for free, including "Realizing the Lamrim".

This course is based on Lama Zopa Rinpoche's method of teaching the Lam Rim.
As the "heart son" of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and a lineage holder of the Gelugpa tradtion, this should be directly relevant to ME6217.

I've just enrolled in the first course in this series, ADVICE FOR REALIZING THE LAMRIM, and will post some brief comments when I complete to help clarify what is contained within the course and how it may relate/be beneficial to our studies here.

Audio on Lam Rim

There is a set of MP3 files available for download here of a series of public talks given by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in 2002.

The topic is Atisha's lamp.

The majority of the audio is done by His Holiness's primary translator Thupten Jinpa who is very well spoken and can easily translate the speech and the underlying doctrine in a way that is understandable to a Western audience.

The only part that may be tedious for some is listening to the Tibetan before Jinpala can translate.

There are a total of 5 files recorded over four days.

I've downloaded and listened to them a couple of times in their entirety and would recommend them to anyone interested in the subject - whether taking the class or not.

Edited Audio Files

I've edited the 5 recordings, removing all of the Tibetan and cleaning up the remaining audio.
This takes 10 hours of audio down to 5 and makes it much more listenable.

I've added them for download in my dropbox.

Enjoy!

Book on the Path

There are also a number of resources here at His Holiness's archive of the Jangchup Lamrim Teachings, including a PDF of His text "Illuminating the Path to Enlightenment", available here.
